Follow Sportsmail's coverage of the Champions League as Chelsea host Manchester United in the first leg of the all-Premier League quarter-final. It's the first time the teams have met in the competition since the 2008 final, with Chelsea hoping to gain revenge for their defeat that night and United looking to maintain their charge towards the treble. Chelsea were the last team to win at Old Trafford so will travel north with no fear.[LNB]As for tonight, penalty or not Chelsea were below par and it still doesn't look like Ancelotti knows his favoured strike partnership.[LNB]One last thing on the penalty decision, how the assistant on the goal line didn't see that I will never know.[LNB]21.40: United very lucky to come away from that with their first win at Stamford Bridge since 2002.[LNB]That was a stonewall penalty in injury time but United fans will argue that is karma for recent fixtures in west London.[LNB]Full-time: Chelsea 0-1 Manchester United[LNB] Simulation: Torres grabs Ferdinand's throat after being booked for diving[LNB]90+3min: Another penalty claim after Torres goes down from hardly any contact from Valencia.[LNB]That one is not a penalty and instead, Torres is booked for diving, good decision too. Ferdinand is again fuming at the striker.[LNB]90+2min: Fergie can have no complaints now that is a CERTAIN penalty![LNB]Ramires chases a bouncing ball towards goal before Evra completely wraps his legs around him and wipes him out. The ball was never in question. What a let off for United as the referee waves play on![LNB]90+1min: Four added minutes.[LNB]90min: It's getting towards hit and hope for Chelsea. Not for the first time this evening there is no options in the box for them and Anelka's low shot from outside the area is again comfortably taken by Van der Sar.[LNB]87min: Five star stuff from Barcelona. Dani Alves' low cross finds Xavi who makes no mistake from eight yards out to make it 5-1.[LNB]Shakhtar, unlike Spurs, have an away goal of course but can they really beat the Spanish champions 4-0 at home?...really?[LNB]86min: Better from Branislav Ivanovic, he runs at the united defence before fizzing a low shot from the edge of the box that again, good ol' Edwin is equal too.[LNB]85min: United have been defending most of the half but have looked comfortable doing it. The home side still lack ideas.[LNB]82min: A high foot from Ferdinand gives away a free-kick on the edge of the box but Lampard's low effort from the set-piece is comfortably saved by Van der Sar.[LNB]79min: Here comes those silly bookings. Van der Sar asks his centre-back to take a goal kick and he is booked for time wasting. A tad harsh that.[LNB]78min: Not a bad sub to bring on, Premier League top scorer Dimitar Berbatov is on for Hernandez.[LNB]While Chelsea make a final sub in bringing on John Mikel Obi for Bosingwa.[LNB]75min: This is not Torres' night! He directs a wonderful header towards the top corner but Van der Sar springs magnificently to his left to tip the ball away. Incredible stop.[LNB]73min: Vidic is booked after a body check on Malouda.[LNB]72min: Just isn't happening for Torres. Ramires' clipped ball into the box is again just shy of contact from the Spaniard as the ball trickles out for a goal kick.[LNB] Disappointment: Drogba trudges off after being substituted[LNB]70min: Two like-for-like changes for Chelsea. Florent Malouda is on for Zhirkov while Nicolas Anelka replaces Drogba.[LNB]69min: Close. Essien's well hit effort from the edge of the box just flashes wide of the post.[LNB]67min: Crucial touch from Cech! Nani's whipped cross is well hit and the keeper gets a slight touch that just takes it away from Hernandez at the far post.[LNB]65min: Essien goes into the book after a foul on Carrick. Not before time that caution.[LNB]63min: During all that Ramires has been booked for a challenge on Evra, United still holding firm. It's very comfortable in truth, Torres fading as the game goes on.[LNB]60min: Hope for Shakhtar! Yaroslav Rakitskiy pounces at the near post to flick home a free-kick, not a bad result now...hang on wait a minute. Seydou Keita has gone straight up the other end and rifled one into the top corner.[LNB]In case you have lost count it's Barcelona 4-1 Shakhtar.[LNB]59min: Like the first half, Chelsea are getting the ball forward ok but have yet to make Van der Sar really do anything. Ancelotti must be thinking about changes.[LNB]56min: Rooney has the ball in the back of the net after a neat finish from the edge of the box. Trouble is the whistle for offside went a few seconds before.[LNB]Arsenal fans will be screaming for at least a booking there, after Van Persie received a second yellow at Barcelona for a similar thing.[LNB]54min: Shakhtar going the same way as Tottenham here. It's now 3-0 to Barcelona after Gerard Pique's shot from a well worked (but simple) low corner finds the back of the net. Maybe a slight deflection there though.[LNB] The third degree: United defenders surround Torres after the Chelsea forward appeared to go down easily in the box[LNB]52min: Rafael does indeed pay for trying to stop Drogba, he is carried off on a stretcher after failing to recover from that knock and Nani is on in his place.[LNB]50min: So nearly costly from Evra! He slips on the touchline, enabling Drogba time and space to deliver a cross. He aims it to the near post where an unmarked Ramires heads well wide. I would back even the most out-of-form striker in the world to score that...well basically Torres.[LNB]48min: That will teach him. After Drogba, goes past Rafael, the Brazilian leaves his foot out and brings down the striker.[LNB]But it's the full-back that comes off worse and he is just receiving some treatment for what looks like a dead leg, can't see him doing that again in a hurry.[LNB]Second-half: And we are underway again both games.[LNB]20.45: Fair play to Mallenco by the way. He has had an almost faultless game, I say 'almost'.[LNB]He would have gone up in my estimation had he booked Evra for his card waving antics following '35min'. One of my pet hates in football that.[LNB]20.40: Advantage United, but we saw in the league game last month how Chelsea came back in the second-half. No away goals in the Premier League though so Fergie will be delighted with this.[LNB]20.35: Half-time at the Nou Camp too, where Barcelona are well on top and are leading 2-0.[LNB]Half-time: Chelsea 0-1 Manchester United[LNB]45+1min: That is incredible! Out of nowhere Chelsea SHOULD be level. Torres' deft flick from six yards bounces off the post before Frank Lampard's follow up is cleared off the line by Evra. United suddenly holding on as this half draws to a close![LNB]44min: This is the difference between the two sides, United attack and they are spraying it the flanks at will and really stretching the Blues defence. The hosts clear...eventually.[LNB] Evergreen: United's Ryan Giggs (centre) enjoyed a fine first-half[LNB]41min: But United are just as deadly on the counter, Rooney's shot from the edge of the box is blocked but after picking the ball back up, his lofted cross into the box just evades an unmarked Hernandez.[LNB]39min: Chelsea just coming into this game a bit more before half-time but that Drogba shot aside have not tested Van der Sar. They need to start being a bit more inventive.[LNB]36min: Zhirkov becomes the first player booked after his high foot on a clearance is just a little too high to Javier Hernandez's face.[LNB]35min: Torres goes down in the box after being under pressure from Vidic, but there is no contact and the Spaniard knows it as he doesn't claim a spot kick.[LNB]That doesn't hide Ferdinand or Evra's anger though as they accuse the striker of going down too easily. Torres with a slight smirk protests his innocence.[LNB]34min: It's now 2-0 Barcelona after Dani Alves beats the offside trap, takes it around Pyatov before slotting into an empty net. Not too sure about the...odd celebration.[LNB]33min: I'm on corner watch this evening and here is another shocker. Zhirkov's cross failing to clear the first man.[LNB]31min: Torres is really trying bless him. He links up well with Yury Zhirkov but he just fails to acrobatically connect with the Russian's cross.[LNB]29min: An away goal but the visitors are not letting up yet. The pressure is really off at this stage and they are happy to just knock it about Barcelona style.[LNB]Speaking of the Spanish giants it's still 1-0 but Shakhtar have had a few half-chances.[LNB]26min: Rooney has now scored in the Champions League quarter-finals for the fifth consecutive year. He wasn't actively seeking a camera to tell us in a few choice words though.[LNB] Devil in the details: Rooney (centre) fired Manchester United ahead after a well worked move[LNB]24min: GOAL! Chelsea 0-1 MANCHESTER UNITED[LNB]Glorious goal! I am going to miss Ryan Giggs when he goes, he just keeps amazing me with every passing year. His brilliant first touch from a Michael Carrick long ball immediately takes Jose Bosingwa out of play at the by-line, before he cuts the ball for Wayne Rooney to slot home right into the bottom corner. Superb stuff![LNB]23min: A few corners already in this match as United win another, but they have all been useless so far...as is this one as Chelsea easily clear. Wouldn't happen under Tony Pulis or Sam Allardyce I tell you.[LNB]20min: Don't question 40-year-old Van der Sar's reactions! Drogba fires an absolute rocket at him from inside the box that the Dutchman does very well to tip over the bar. United clear the corner.[LNB]19min: Mallenco has mellowed a bit since the World Cup. Antonio Valencia is a tad late and clumsy with a challenge on Torres but the ref just gives a free-kick. Klose will be seething.[LNB]16min: The short corner is wasted though and Chelsea clear. We still wait for our first clear cut chance.[LNB]15min: United showing a bit more threat here and win a corner. Chelsea clear but Ji-sung Park's shot back takes a deflection winning the visitors another corner.[LNB]12min: A break in the game after Drogba...well I don't know what is up with him. Ferdinand slightly brushes him on the face and the big striker decides to take time-out on the floor. Bizarre![LNB]9min: Chelsea the much more confident side in these early stages. United look a tad lethargic. Barcelona are just being Barcelona in the other quarter-final.[LNB]7min: Neat from Torres, he intercepts a poor ball from Patrice Evra but he finds a wall of red as he reaches the penalty box and his shot is comfortably saved by Edwin Van der Sar. He is looking lively.[LNB]4min: Top defending from Ferdinand, Torres looks to get a diving header on a cross but the centre-back manages to get an outstretched leg to just take the ball off the Spaniard's head. That could have ended in a nasty collision with the striker coming off worse there.[LNB] Caught: Essien clips Rooney's foot in a challenge[LNB]3min: Some worrying scenes already for United fans as Wayne Rooney's foot is caught in a late tackle from Michael Essien, and he goes down in pain. I have seen bookings given for that but the Ghanaian gets away free of charge. Rooney is back up.[LNB]2min: And Shakhtar have not learned! They are a goal down after Andres Iniesta pounces on some nervy defending in the box to fire past Andriy Pyatov's near post.[LNB]Kick-off: United get us going and we are underway at the Nou Camp too.[LNB]19.41: 'Viva John Terry' reads a banner in the away end. United of course looking to win here for the first time in nine years but also look to make amends for results in recent games at Stamford Bridge, where Fergie feels a few key decisions have gone against them.[LNB]Chelsea of course out to banish the ghosts of losing the 2008 Champions League final to the Red Devils on penalties. I don't think John Terry will ever have a slip up bigger than the one he did that night...see what I did there?[LNB]19.31: Stunning evening in London, it could be the end of May with the warm conditions in the capital today. I have high hopes for this match.
