90+1 GOAL DROGBA: Sure enough the Blues snatch a late late goal through Drogba. The Ivorian chips Myhill from an acute angle. I don't believe he meant that but it surely gives Chelsea all three points.
90 There are to be six added minutes and Brown cannot hide is disappointment. Goodness knows how Alan Wiley has arrived at that figure but it will give Chelsea time to conjure up a winner.
89 Great block by Turner to deny Drogba once more. City really have put their bodies on the line today.
88 Cech is at full stretch to keep out a deflected effort from Folan. That would have been a shocker for the Blues. The big keeper concedes a corner and then deals with the bouncing ball.
87 Corner conceded by Turner which is taken by Lampard. His effort finds Carvalho but he heads over.
83 Wrestling match between Ghilas and Cole sees the England defender penalised. Dawson delivers the free-kick but Chelsea are able to clear their lines with Cech inadvertently punching Gardner in the back of the head.

75 Another good save from Myhill who gets down well to deny Bosingwa's left-footed effort at the expense of a corner. Lampard swings it in but it just eludes Terry. Chelsea earn another corner, this time taken by Deco but Grdner gets up highest to nod clear.
73 Good hit by Essien who strikes a dipping volley which goes just wide of Myhill's right-hand post.
71 Boateng is brought down by Ballack on the touchline. City have come back into the game now after being battered for 20 minutes or so.
70 Ghilas finds himself in space on the left and looks for Folan but Chelsea clear their lines. Good opening for the new boy there who maybe should have gone for goal himself.

65 A rare break for the Tigers and Boateng gets half a chance. He swivels on the edge of the six yard box after Folan's knock down but is crowded out. The former Boro man feels Carvalho used a hand there though but it looked like it came off the defender's chest.
63 It's just attack and defence at the moment as Hull get in block after block but they can't string two passes together.
Lampard is the latest to find half a yard but Gardner denies him.
62 Drogba and Anleka combine but the former's touch is poor and the Tigers get it away. They just can't get any decent possession though.
60 Another opening for Drogba but his touch is poor and the chance gets away again. The Blues could be left to rue these missed opportunities.
59 More boos for Hunt but the former Reading man is able to get his cross in but Cech is equal to it.
56 Brilliant block from Myhill to deny Drogba who lets fly from only eight yards but the Welsh international denies him. The Tigers are flinging themselves at everything to keep the scores level.
54 Barmby, who has been pretty anonymous, finally gets on the ball but can't pull the strings to engineer an opening.
52 Shouts for a penalty from Chelsea as Anelka goes down under Dawson's challenge. The City full-back got a touch on that for me otherwise it was a stonewall spot-kick.
51 Anelka is able to turn and try his luck but the massed amber ranks keep him out.
49 Space for Malouda on the left but his cross is plucked out of the air by Myhill. Ballack also tries his luck but the ball goes harmlessly wide. It's lively stuff at the Bridge!
48 More good work from Drogba tees up Lampard who goes for the near post but is just wide.
47 Half chance for Hull City but the hosts spring clear with Anelka who is joined by Carvalho of all people on the break. The Frenchman looks to find his defensive colleague but the pass is not quite good enough.
46 Golden chance for Chelsea. Drogba turns well and feeds Anelka six yards out but he can't quite get the ball out of his feet and hits it at Myhill. His defenders close ranks and get the ball away.
46 Ballack takes his place and Essien drops back into the holding role. It's the visitors who get the second period underway.
Looks like Chelsea are making a change at the break with Ballack coming on in place of Mikel. Looks a tactical change to me so we'll now see whether Ancelotti has the midas touch.
Stewart from Sky Bet has been in touch with revised odds for the second half. Chelsea are now 1/4 with 10/3 the draw and the Tigers available at 18/1. He adds: "Hull did really well in the game until they hit the front. Of course Chelsea gave a great response with a quality goal from Drogba who is 4/1 to score next. In an open, entertaining affair you can see more goals and the odds on over 3.5 Goals looks justified at this stage.

45+2 Poor clearance form Myhill puts his defence under pressure. Lampard works it to Essien who has a go but again Myhill is behind the ball. And that's the end of a pretty enthralling first period.
45+1 Booking for Mendy who clatters Malouda into the advertising boards. And that, folks, is the first yellow card of the new Premier League season! There's one for the pub quiz later in the season!
44 Cole goes in strongly on Mendy and clears at the expense of a throw which Mouyokolo hurls in deep into the Chelsea area. The ball is half cleared as far as Boateng who swings at the ball but it's over the bar.
43 Marney is struggling after that awkward fall and goes off to be replaced by the veteran Nick Barmby.
43 Great turn by Drogba who is now brimming with confidence. He spins away from Turner and hammers in a swerving right-footer which Myhill keeps out.

39 The Chelsea fans and players have their tails up now, having drawn level. The Blues win a corner, much to the delight of the home support, but Myhill fists the delivery away.
37 GOAL DROGBA: Chelsea have a free-kick in a dangerous area, just outside the box. Drogba strolls up and hammers a dipping strike into the corner of the goal. Brilliant from the Ivorian. 1-1 and game on.
33 Bosingwa gets down the right and centres but no Chelsea striker gambles and again the ball finishes in Myhill's arms.
Drogba also tries his luck but, guess what, the Welsh international is in the right place again.
31 Lampard looks to inspire his teammates but City are all behind the ball and there's no way through. Malouda looks to cross but his centre flies into Myhill's arms.
29 The Tigers fans are in full cry now as Chelsea look to recover from that shock setback. Terry urges his men forward and seeks out Malouda but the ball is too long.
27 GOAL HUNT: Hull City take a surprise lead and it is that man Stephen Hunt. Boateng lets fly and the ball ricocheteds off Mikel's knee to Hunt who cooly slots it home from eight yards out with his left foot. Amazing stuff and a dream debut for the former Reading man.
22 Free-kick to the Tigers in a dangerous position but the commentator's curse has hit Hunt whose effort sails into the arms of Cech.
20 Hunt has made a good start to his first game in a Tigers shirt. He wins a foul at the expense of Essien but then turns blind and almost plays Gardner into trouble but the former Spurs man is up to the task.
19 Carvalho looks to pick out Drogba but Turner rises well to head clear.
17 Good work by Anelka to get the better of Turner. His cross aims for strike partner Drogba but it is just too high. Turner looks around wondering why Alan Wiley did not whistle in his favour.
15 Corner for the visitors, earned by Hunt. Marney's cross is a good one and is only half cleared as far as Boateng who hammers the ball back in only to be denied by a desperate Cech leg. That could easily have gone in. Good stuff from the away side.
14 Chance for Chelsea but Terry can't keep his header down from Malouda's corner and it goes over the bar.
13 Great cross in from Hunt who picks out Marney. The midfielder is unmarked but his flick header goes over the bar. Chelsea need to be a little careful here.
12 Chelsea are showing patience here as City get all eleven behind the ball.
9 Rare opening for Hull as the ball breaks for skipper Boateng. He goes with the outside of his right foot but his effort is just wide with Cech scrambling. Decent chance there.
8 Hunt is buzzing around like a man possessed as Hull look to get on the ball but it's all Chelsea in the opening few minutes.
6 The Tigers are going to have to do a lot of running to deny the Blues. They have hardly had a meaningful kick of the ball so far.
5 Mikel is given space to tee up a shot from distance but his right-footer is well wide of Myhill's goal.
3 Gardner is penalised for a soft-looking foul on Drogba and the Blues look to work an opening but the Tigers compete well to deny their hosts.
2 Lampard is already finding space in and around Hull's five-man midfield. If the visitors fail to get hold of him it could be a long old afternoon for the away side.
1 Shocking miss from Drogba. That should have seen Chelsea a goal to the good but the Ivorian blazes wide with the net at his mercy. Essien gets forward and crosses well but the striker swings at a golden opportunity and misses horribly.
1 Hunt is straight into the action with a clumsy challenge on Frank Lampard. That was high and the former Reading man is lucky to escape a booking.
1 And it is Chelsea who get this game underway as new Tigers signing Stephen Hunt is booed for his part in the incident which saw Petr Cech injured two seasons ago.

The teams are in the tunnel and as we wait for kick off Shane Johnson from Perth, Western Australia says: "I predict that by the end of the season, this season's opener will see the new premier league champions in Chelsea who have only improved an already impressive side over the break, against Hull who will finish rock bottom. Chelsea should win comfortably by a margin of 3-0. Drogba to hit two goals with Malouda getting the other."
Interview Phil Brown has been interviewed on Sky Sports 1 and says his Hull City side are a far better side than last season. Only time will tell Phil!!!
Hammering? Henry from Argentina thinks it will be Chelsea all the way and goes for a 6-0 win. What do you say about that Tigers fans?
Chris from sunny Spain says: "As much as I would like to see Hull City steal a cheeky point at Stamford Bridge today, their chances are slim. Ancelotti's men will be on a high after winning the Charity Shield and will want to start this season well. Hull City had an awful second half to last season and although Phil Brown has stregthened his squad it will take a few more weeks before they start to gel. I think Chelsea will win 2-0."
