Willian set for fitness test before Chelsea clash with Burnley

Chelsea midfielder Willian is back in training after a calf injury and will be handed a fitness check ahead of the clash with Burnley.

Defender Kurt Zouma remains sidelined with a knee problem while boss Antonio Conte also has another injury worry, but he would not name the player concerned.

Thibaut Courtois, John Terry, Oscar, Eden Hazard and Diego Costa should return to the starting line-up after dropping out for the midweek EFL Cup win over Bristol Rovers.

Conte has warned his side to be wary of the counter-punches Burnley used so effectively in beating Liverpool 2-0 last weekend.

"It's incredible as only one year ago people were paying attention to the possession ball. But against Liverpool Burnley had 25 per cent and Liverpool had 75 per cent, and yet the result is 2-0 to Burnley!

"So for this reason I told my players to pay attention. I hope the team will push to win. This is the English league and every game is very tough.

"Every game you must face with great attention and you must understand that if you don't have the right attention, anything can happen.

"Burnley are a very solid team in defence and always waiting to counter-attack with two very good forwards. We must pay great attention when we are attacking, there is the danger."

Burnley look set to revert back to the line-up Sean Dyche selected against Liverpool.

A Clarets side featuring 10 changes lost to Accrington in the EFL Cup in midweek and captain Tom Heaton, record signing Steven Defour and striker Andre Gray will be among those coming back in.

Forward Ashley Barnes (hamstring) will return after the international break while Liverpool loanee Jon Flanagan is not ready to play a full game so soon after completing 120 minutes on Wednesday night.

Dyche is confident there will be no lasting effect on his team when they go from Accrington to Chelsea at the weekend.

"It doesn't change the mood, we know the main target this year," Dyche said.

"It doesn't mean we're diminishing the thought of a cup but the main goal is what we're trying to achieve in the Premier League, we know that.

"It's a completely different challenge, a radically different challenge. Chelsea are one of the bigger clubs in the Premier League historically.

"It was a quiet year for them last year, but they've started well this year. There's a new manager, big signings, big players in general. It's a completely different situation."
