Reports are coming in thick and fast as the close season approaches and with clubs looking to do business early to avoid the circus that comes later in the window. Chelsea were successful last year and managed to do most of their business with time to spare and that looks to be the case again if rumours prove to be true.

Atletico Madrid stars Koke and Diego Godin look to be of interest to Jose Mourinho who according to a report in the Metro.

Godin is a quality central defender who has an excellent fitness record that has seen him make 40-50 appearances for Atletico for the past four seasons. The experienced 29-year-old would cost around £17million to bring to the bridge.

Koke is a different proposition and at 23-years-old will also be a future prospect should Mourinho consider £46million to be good value for the midfielder. Koke is known for his passing ability and skill at creating attacking chances and would link up well with the current squad of players.

The report which cites a tweet by Fabrizio Romano suggests that talks are underway with Filipe Luis possibly going the other way back to Atletico as part of the deal.
