Chelsea to open contract talks with Ashley Cole to curb Manchester City's interest

With two seasons left on his current deal, Chelsea will be aware that under Fifa rules the 28-year-old can buy himself out in 12 months and leave on a free transfer. [LNB]According to the Express, Manchester City are interested in signing Cole and are prepared to offer him £130,000-a-week - £50,000 more than his current wage packet.
