Chelsea target Sinisa Andjelkovic seals £1m move from Maribor to Palermo

No luck this time: Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti[LNB]Chelsea have missed out on Slovenian centre half Sinisa Andjelkovic after Palermo rushed to clinch his £1million signing from Maribor. [LNB]The Blues were in the early stages of checking out the 24-year-old after recently securing a working relationship with the eastern European club. [LNB]However, the interest forced Palermo into clinching a deal to make him their third arrival from Maribor this year following the summer signings of midfielders Armin Bacinovic and Josip Ilicic. [LNB]Maribor sporting director Zlatko Zahovic confirmed that Andjelkovic had signed a four-and-a-half year contract with the Serie A side.
