Chelsea have refused to enter the breaking news debate surrounding Frank Lampard's Chelsea future.
It's being strongly rumoured that Lampard, 34. is to be offered a new deal.
If true that would be a major U-Turn in dealing with Lampard, who is in the final months of his contract at SW6.
A Chelsea source said to Chelsea-Mad: "We never comment on speculation."
It's sad but a very understandable position to take as they would be spending every minute of every day fielding questions one way or the other.
