Chelsea star Romelu Lukaku wants to be loaned out again, but this time not to West Brom

Romelu Lukaku wants to go out on loan next season – but it is unlikely to be West Brom.

The Belgian wonder kid, 19, has scored 13 times for the Baggies on his season-long arrangement from Chelsea.

But he is understood to want to play in European competition to enhance his claim for a starting berth at the 2014 World Cup with Belgium.

West Brom’s poor form in the second half of the season has prevented a late charge to the Europa League.

And that could signal the end of Lukaku’s time at the club, even though the striker feels he is not ready to challenge for a place in Chelsea’s starting eleven next term.

West Brom boss Steve Clarke said: “He is Chelsea’s player. He belongs to Chelsea and he will go back there in the summer.

“I have never thought it would be possible Chelsea would let him come back next season. He came on a season-long loan and we’re grateful we got him.”
