The Premier League club now have 21 days to mount an appeal which they have previously said they will do over the ban which followed their signing of teenager Gaël Kakuta from the French club Lens in 2007. The 18 year-old is also now banned from playing football for four months while fines, amounting to close to £1 million have also been levied.[LNB]In a statement Chelsea, who remain confident they can reduce or overturn the decision, said: "Chelsea can confirm we have today received the detailed reasons of the Kakuta decision by Fifa's dispute resolutions chamber. We are currently analysing the detail and there will be no further comment."[LNB] Related ArticlesWigan Athletic v Chelsea: match previewKenyon: world 'in shock' over banJoe Cole ready to start new chapter in careerBrian Moore: Chelsea ban needs grown-up debateAncelotti confident despite transfer banSport on televisionLens complained to Fifa over the transfer, claiming that Chelsea had induced Kakuta to break his contract with the club. Chelsea have argued that the agreement with Lens was not binding and that Kakuta, a promising left-winger, was free to join their academy.[LNB]Any appeal will be heard by the Court of Arbitration in Sport. If Chelsea take the full 21 days it may mean the case cannot be heard before Christmas, which would open the way for the transfer ban to be frozen in January. However Chelsea insist they want the hearing to take place as soon as possible.[LNB][LNB]
