According to the London Evening Standard, Chelsea's Russian billionaire owner Roman Abramovich is eyeing moves for three of the most wanted footballers in the world right now, Radamel Falcao, Edison Cavani and James Rodriguez.

Abramovich may not be the most popular of owners right now after ruthlessly sacking fans favourite Roberto Di Matteo but the Blues faithful will soon be back on side if the oligarch can bring the coveted trio to Stamford Bridge.

Atletico Madrid's prolific striker has a £44 million release clause in his contract and has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in recent months, as the club look for a player to re-start their faltering season.

Abramovich will also move to bring in Porto winger James Rodriguez who also has a release clause of around £36 million. That combined with £48 million for Napoli's Cavani adds up to an eye watering £128 million
