Chelsea Officially Agree Salah Deal

Chelsea have beaten Liverpool and hijacked their bid as they have officially stated on their website that an agreement has been made concerning Egyptian Mohamed Salah.

The Blues have revealed that an agreement has been reached between their side and the Swiss Super League side for the transfer of the 21-year old, pending a medical.

FC Basel forward Salah has long been linked with Liverpool and was expected to be their big January signing but Chelsea were keen on having him after agreeing on a £37 million deal with Manchester United for playmaker Juan Mata.

Salah’s preference was understood to be Liverpool as he would be getting more playing time there but Chelsea’s deep pockets – and Mourinho’s persuasive powers – completely swung the deal in Chelsea’s favor.

Salah has impressed against Chelsea in the past, scoring against them in the Champions League group stages this season while scoring the winning goal in Switzerland.

He has managed to find the net 17 times in the last 27 games he played for his country.
