Chelsea not interested in January sales

They have been banned from signing players in the next two windows both the January and summer windows of 2010. But the feeling is that they may be successful in having the ban reduced to just the next window. [LNB]And if past dealings are anything to go by that may not affect Chelsea too harshly. Since Roman Abramovich arrived to take control, in June 2003, Chelsea have made 43 major signings. Of those, 37 were signed in the summer, with just six in the January window. And of the £377.4 million spent, just £30.4m has been spent in the January period. That is 92 per cent of their expenditure coming in the summer months.
