Chelsea holds no appeal to Carlo Ancelotti as Guus Hiddink reign begins

Chelsea confirmed on Wednesday that Hiddink would manage the side until the end of the season, at the same time as overseeing Russia's World cup qualifying campaign, but Ancelotti is reportedly Abramovich's main candidate to replace Luiz Felipe Scolari in the long term. [LNB]However, Ancelotti, who is under contract until June 2010 said: 'The only club that has made a move to sign me has been Chelsea. [LNB]'In the summer I met Abramovich but I didn't want to leave AC Milan. [LNB]'The same thing happens now, I am not thinking about leaving.' [LNB]Ancelotti, 49, is the longest serving manager in Italy's top flight after joining the Rossoneri in 2001. And it is not the first time he has been linked with a move away from the San Siro. [LNB]'Even seven years ago this happened,' Ancelotti said. [LNB]'At this point of the season the same story comes out but I am not worried.'[LNB]Ancelotti's unwillingness to consider a move to Chelsea strengthens the possibility of Hiddink prolonging his stay at Stamford Bridge beyond the end of the season.[LNB]The ease with which Chelsea negotiated a job sharing arrangement for Hiddink demonstrates the influence in Russian football that Abramovich enjoys, with the head of the Russian Football Union (RFU), Vitali Mutjo, unwilling or unable to contradict the oligarch.[LNB]'I had a conversation with him [Abramovich]. We discussed it all very seriously. In the context of the conversation it was not worth me arguing,' said Mutjo.[LNB]'No one has relieved Hiddink of his task of taking Russia to the World Cup in 2010. The most important thing is that he has enough health and energy. [LNB]'If Russia wins the World Cup, he may as well train it over the phone.'[LNB]Meanwhile, Beckham, who equalled Bobby Moore's record of 108 caps for an outfield player for England in a 2-0 defeat to European Champions Spain, is eager to stay with Milan after he completes a loan deal from MLS side LA Galaxy. [LNB]And Ancelotti confirmed that the same desire was felt by the club after he has been impressed with Beckham's work rate and contribution to the team in the short time he has been in Italy. [LNB]'In my opinion, in order to keep Beckham sacrifices should be made because he is an important player for the team,' said Ancelotti.[LNB]
