Chelsea hitman Anelka closes in on deal to stay with Blues for rest of career

[LNB]The 30-year-old has played for seven clubs prior to his move to west London inJanuary 2008 but is now keen to settle at Chelsea, who are reported to be readyto offer him an improved contract. [LNB]Anelka, who has scored six goals for the Blues in all competitions this season,was quoted in the News of the World as saying: 'I hope to sign a new contractsoon. I am very happy at Chelsea. I have found a home.[LNB]'Ever since I left Real Madrid I wanted to find a big club again and I havewith Chelsea. [LNB]'I feel I am playing the best football of my career and want to carry onplaying my best days with Chelsea.' [LNB]Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti admits he has been surprised at how well Anelka hasfitted into his tactical plan.
