Chelsea had no answer to Mourinho's defensive masterclass, admits Ballack

Michael Ballack admits Chelsea were outwitted by an Inter Milan side led by the man who took him to Stamford Bridge.[LNB]The Germany captain conceded that the Blues found it impossible to break down Inter's defence during a 1-0 defeat that saw Jose Mourinho's men progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.[LNB] Second best: Wesley Sneijder pokes the ball away from Ballack (front)[LNB]Off night: Drogba is dismissed[LNB]Chelsea feel they had good shouts for two penalty claims in the first half at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night, but Ballack conceded his side were no match for a club who had won the first leg 2-1.[LNB]'We didn't play that well, we are really disappointed with our performance but Inter did well,' said Ballack. [LNB]'We knew it would be difficult to score, we could see from the first leg. Especially in the second half we had no answer to create chances, and the longer the game went on the harder it got. We are disappointed but have to accept it.'[LNB]Inter dominated but were not out of sight in the tie until Samuel Eto'o scored with 11 minutes left to play in the tie.
