Chelsea's hopes of securing the services of AC Milan hotshot Alexandre Pato have been dealt a blow by Adriano Galliani.

The Italian club's vice-president has ruled out any possibility of the 20-year-old leaving the San Siro and has rubbished claims the Brazilian is unhappy in Serie A.

Pato is also interesting Real Madrid who could be set to cut their loses on the disappointing Karim Benzema who joined the club for £35m in the summer. A swap deal has been mooted.

Come back here: Chelsea have been tracking Pato (centre) for some time

'Pato is happy at Milan and he always states it,' said Galliani. 'He will remain with us.'

Chelsea are desperate for a fresh injection to their ageing squad and Pato has worked closely with current Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti.

Pato, who has been out of action since March 22 with a thigh injury, is Milan's top scorer with 12 goals this season.

The 20-year-old is under contract with the Rossoneri until June 2014.
