ShareChelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has denied he will move to Roma this summer.

Ancelotti was in the Italian capital this week, understood to be there to celebrate his ex-wife Luisa's 50th birthday, and his presence increased speculation that he could join the Serie A outfit next season with Roma fans bombarding radio phone-lines in excitement.

Vicenzo Montella is currently in charge of the Serie A giants as caretaker until the end of the season after replacing former Stamford Bridge manager Claudio Ranieri in January.

Roma's American owner Thomas DiBenedetto, a Boston Red Sox business partner of Liverpool owner John Henry, could be looking for an experienced manager next season especially if the club, in fifth place, fail to qualify for the Champions League.

But Blues boss Ancelotti told Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport: 'I have not spoken to any club.

'I don't want to talk about the future until this season is over.

'I want to remain in England and I can assure you that I will not be coaching in Italy next year.'

Ancelotti won the Italian title with Roma as a player in 1983 and has made no secret that he would love to manage them one day. However, he insists it will not be in the near future.

'I don't know if I will make it in time to one day coach (Roma captain Francesco) Totti,' Ancelotti said.

The 51-year-old joined Chelsea from AC Milan in June 2009 and went on to win the league and FA Cup double in his first season.

The Italian tactician is under contract with the Blues outfit until June 2012.

Despite a mid-season slump, the London club are now back in the Barclays Premier League title race and face leaders Manchester United in a must-win clash at Old Trafford on Sunday.
