Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti backs Fabio Capello

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has backed Fabio Capello to turn England into winners and says his Italian compatriot deserves the 'respect' of fans.[LNB]Former player Ancelotti worked under Capello when he was manager at AC Milan in the Nineties.[LNB]He admits Capello is strict on discipline but says it was very 'unfair' for some England supporters to turn on him after the national team's poor showing at the World Cup in South Africa.[LNB] Respect: Carlo Ancelotti says Capello has proved he's a 'winner' in Italy and Spain[LNB]Ancelotti told The Daily Telegraph: 'The criticism was unfair. England could play better but everyone has to have respect for Capello, not just as a coach but as a man. He's the coach of the national team and everyone now has another opportunity to show respect.[LNB]Under fire: Capello has been criticised for England's poor display at the World Cup finals in South Africa[LNB]'He's a winner. He won in every place. He won in Madrid. In Italy, he is the best winner. He won a lot of titles with Milan. He won at Juventus and Roma. He's the No 1 coach. It's his first experience coaching a national team but he did very well until the start of the World Cup. Before the World Cup, he was the best. Now, he's not the worst.'[LNB]Referring to his days as a player, Ancelotti said: 'When he was my coach at Milan, he was very serious. He put a lot of attention on discipline - but this is normal.'[LNB]The Chelsea manager also claims the England boss did not have enough time to work with theplayers before the World Cup which resulted the team having a poortournament.[LNB]'He had 15 days to prepare for the World Cup! It's impossible,' he said. 'You don't have time to work and prepare the team.
