Premier League champions Chelsea look set to complete a deal for Swedish youngster Joseph Colley in the coming months.

GetWestLondon report that the 16-year-old defender will move to west London from Swedish side Brommapojkarna when the summer transfer window officially opens on July 1, linking up with Chelsea's U18 squad. Premier League rivals Manchester United have previously been linked with a move for the prospect.

It's thought that groundwork for the deal may have began as far back as December 2013, with Chelsea opting to let Colley progress in Stockholm.

The defender is set to move to England to begin training with Chelsea's Youth Academy at Cobham after saying his goodbyes to teammates at Brommapojkarna this week.

Right footed Colley has the ability to play at right-back or to move into central defence, showing his versatility and potential.
