But the 30-year-old is eying a trip to Rome's Olympic Stadium four days before the Wembley season finale to really make Chelsea's season.
To do that, they must overcome Spanish League leaders Barcelona in the last four, with a trip to the Nou Camp on Tuesday week followed by the return at Stamford Bridge eight days later.
'We are desperate to win the Champions League, it's true,' Lampard told Spanish paper El Mundo Deportivo. 'But Barcelona are the best team in Europe at this time. It will be a very difficult tie and we'll have to work hard to go through.
