The ITV network have discarded John Terry from top billing in theirmost important publication of the year despite his successfulreconciliation with wife Toni in Dubai last weekend.[LNB]The fall-out from Terry's affair with England team-mate WayneBridge's ex-partner Vanessa Perroncel, which led to England coach FabioCapello stripping him of the captaincy, has also seen ITV take Terryoff the cover of their annual report and accounts brochure due to bepublished next month. But instead the ITV corporate unit responsiblefor producing the report have replaced him with the safer choice ofCapello in not wanting to upset their shareholder readership.[LNB]An ITV spokesperson said: 'The report is still in production and weare choosing from a number of images that reflect our programming.'[LNB]However the Terry brand still has some value. The sports memorabiliacompany who supplied auction lots for last week's League Managers'Association president's dinner, including the JT signed England shirtwith a reserve value of £295, have 10 more Terry autographed replicashirts in stock, priced at £325.[LNB] [LNB]The furore over the Kjus logo on the BBC Olympic presenter jackets, which challenges Beeb advertising regulations, did not seem to bother Clare Balding who subsequently allowed GB snowboarder Zoe Gillings to be interviewed while wearing a bobble hat slanted to allow maximum branding exposure for gambling company Poker Stars.[LNB] [LNB]The England and Wales Cricket Board are on red alert in Dubai for the Twenty20 games against Pakistan tomorrow and Saturday to ensure talisman all-rounder and local resident Freddie Flintoff (right) does not hijack the debut of new England shirt sponsors Brit Insurance. Freddie has a history of wearing personal sponsors[LNB]Puma clothing while around an England team whose kit is supplied by rivals adidas. However Freddie, more of a celebrity than a cricketer these days, missed the England warm-up game in Abu Dhabi yesterday to turn up unannounced the night before at the EMI records post-Brits party at the Supper Club in West London and is due to stay on in the capital to record a new Sky quiz show.[LNB] [LNB]Disgraced former Harlequins director of rugby Dean Richards, banned for three years for his part in the Bloodgate affair last year, is testing the water around the country with a number of guest speaking engagements. These include a sportsmen's dinner at Barnard Castle school, followed by the Crewe and Nantwich Rotary Club dinner tonight and a Dewi Morris curry lunch in Manchester next week.[LNB] [LNB]Evans above the law?Ipswich's secretive owner Marcus Evans is not confining his unofficial corporate hospitality offers to the closing three days of the London 2012 Olympics. He is also promoting an even more expensive three-day package taking in the men's 200metres final, the football final at Wembley[LNB]and the opening ceremony with a price tag of £124,000, plus a 24 per cent service charge for a table of 10. Evans gets around laws that make it a criminal offence to sell on Olympic tickets by making no mention of tickets in his literature, but does anyone think a sports client will pay more than six figures and not expect the best seats? London 2012, closely watching this pirate corporate sell, says Evans has no official status.[LNB] [LNB]Sky Sports News have demonstrated again that they are little more than an in-house promotional vehicle for sports content held by the network rather than a genuine 24-hour news service by practically ignoring the Winter Olympics. A spokesman said the chronic lack of news from Canada was 'editorial judgment'.[LNB] [LNB]Premiership club Wasps are becoming so tetchy about constant speculation over the future of Danny Cipriani, discarded so prematurely by England, that journalists arranging phone interviews this week with director of rugby Tony Hanks were warned calls would be immediately terminated at the first mention of the 'C' word.[LNB] [LNB]
