Chelsea ace Petr Cech believes that England have a number of top-class goalkeepers to choose from, despite a plethora of overseas stars in the Premier League.
The Czech Republic custodian thinks that Spurs' Paul Robinson is still the definite first-choice for England head coach Steve McClaren, but Cech also sees a number of strong back-up options.
He commented: "In the Premier League you have so many foreign goalkeepers but you still have five or six English goalkeepers.
"I think Paul Robinson is number one and is a quality goalkeeper. David James is a quality goalkeeper and Scott Carson is young and he has got a lot of talent. I think he's got a great future in front of him.
"If he gets a chance to play for the national team and a chance to play a whole season, that's going to be good, because I think Aston Villa will try to finish in the top six or eight and try to get into the UEFA Cup at least.
"Chris Kirkland has always been unlucky with injuries because he has potential and even Robert Green now is a contender.
"He didn't start last season at West Ham as the number one, but when he came there he was one of the reasons why they stayed up.
"So England still have goalkeepers to choose from."
