Cech won't give up on title

Chelsea ace Petr Cech believes they are still very much in the race for the Premier League title. The Blues kept up the chase on leading duo Manchester United and Liverpool with a 2-0 win over Newcastle on Saturday to spoil Alan Shearer's homecoming at St James' Park. Chelsea trail leaders United by four points and have played a game more than the reigning champions, but Cech refuses to concede defeat in the battle for the Premier League crown. "As long as there is any sort of a mathematical chance (to win the title), we will fight to win it," Cech told his official website. Cech was happy to keep a clean sheet against Newcastle as he helped Chelsea keep their title dreams alive. "Every time you keep a clean sheet it makes you happy," added Cech. "Especially this one from Newcastle where it is always a tough game. "We coped with the match in the best possible way. I did not have too much work during the match but there were some dangerous crosses. I caught them all so I am content." "It is always good to win a game ahead of such an important clash," noted Cech. "We have managed to do so and that is why we are going into the match in good mood."
