Cech unsure of Terry future

Petr Cech admits he is unsure as to whether his team-mate and captain John Terry is interested in Manchester City's pursuit of his services. Free spending City are determined to create a side capable of challenging for major honours and have earmarked Terry as being a player who could lead them to silverware. Chelsea have spurned two bids already for their defensive talisman, with City thought to be readying a third offer which could be worth as much as £40million. Terry's silence to date on the matter has only fuelled the speculation further and Cech admits he would not be hugely surprised if the defender felt the time was right for a fresh challenge. Although the Czech goalkeeper believes Terry's heart still lies with Chelsea he is already contemplating life at Stamford Bridge without one of its favourite sons. "Sometimes people want to have a new challenge," he told Sky Sports News. "They want to go on to different adventures, you never know. "It comes from the personality. It has also been the case JT has always wanted to stay at Chelsea - it's in his heart." Carlo Ancelotti is due to face the press at 10am on Monday morning where he is expected to field calls on Terry's future.
