Petr Cech believes Chelsea are back in the hunt for the Premier League title following their hard fought win against Portsmouth on Tuesday night. The 1-0 win keeps Chelsea second in the table ahead of Liverpool and closes the gap at the top to four points on Manchester United, who face an away trip to Newcastle on Wednesday having played two games less. "The three points from the Portsmouth game is exactly what we needed. We have maintained our unbeaten run and now will be waiting to see if Manchester United drop points in their upcoming two matches," Cech told his official website. "If yes, and we go on winning, then it will be true that the less points we are behind them, the bigger pressure will be on Manchester." Speaking of the 1-0 win at Portsmouth, Cech has praised his team-mates for their unity which has returned to the side in recent games. "This is the good old Chelsea. We fought out the win in absolutely terrible weather, when the wind was blowing hard and the rain was very thick," said Cech. "We managed to be patient all throughout the match and waited for creating a chance that would decide the match. "Everything is at stake in each game from now on. Now we are up against Coventry City in the FA Cup and then there is the second leg of the Champions League encounter in Turin. "Those are exactly the fixtures where you have to be successful and where you will not have another go," he added.
