Cech hits back at critics and insists: I've only had two poor games for Chelsea

Goalkeeper Petr Cech has defended his drop in form for Chelsea and put his recent mistakes down to a long and tiring season.

The Czech Republic international has made 47 appearances for the Blues this term and claims he has two poor games for the club.

Cech came under fire for his displays against Bolton in the Barclays Premier League and Liverpool in the Champions League but insists he is not having sleepless nights over it.

And Cech, who saved Mark Noble's penalty in Chelsea's 1-0 win over West Ham on Saturday, said: 'Sometimes when you play 40 games with good performances and have two bad games, that can happen. It was nothing dramatic for me. I have been working well and I knew Ihad been doing things right, it just wasn't happening in the games.

'Since then we have qualified for the final of the FA Cup and we kept a clean sheet against Everton, so I can be happy again.'Cech, meanwhile, is still confident Chelsea will win some silverware this season.'We have had a good two weeks,' said Cech. 'We qualified for theChampions League semi-final and we qualified for the final of the FACup, so we are going there with a positive mood and of course it willbe a big task, but we are ready for the challenge.'
