Cech hails 'perfect' strikers

Petr Cech believes Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka complement each other 'perfectly' in attack. The two strikers have had limited opportunities to play together under previous Chelsea managers but Carlo Ancelotti has made it clear that he intends to start with both in Sunday's Community Shield against Manchester United. They have had the chance to work on their partnership in pre-season and Cech expects them to torment Premier League defences over the coming campaign. The Blues goalkeeper feels their strengths lie in such different areas that the balance is just about ideal. "We have a front two that will worry everyone in the Premier League and in Europe," he declared. "One is the former best scorer in the league and the other is last season's top scorer and if you count the goals together, it is a great striking force. "The season is long and we will need everyone to score goals, but if they score in every game it will be great for us. It is a perfect combination. You can see that they play and cooperate well together. "One has the pace and the intelligence, the other has everything to help him get the ball, open the space or score goals. "It's been great to see them play the way they have in pre-season, with their quality. We can see what's going to be the plan." Manchester United are the defending Premier League champions and Cech reckons they will mount another strong title challenge. Cristiano Ronaldo has joined Real Madrid but Michael Owen has arrived on a free transfer and Cech does not think they should be written off. "It will be exciting to see whether they will miss Ronaldo more than Ronaldo will miss them," said Cech. "Even though Owen has had a few injuries, he has an awesome goalscoring record. I think he'll be a great addition to their squad."
