Cech eyeing Euro glory

Petr Cech believes Chelsea's UEFA Champions League last-16 victory over Juventus proves the club have what it takes to replicate last season's march to the final. The Blues booked their place in next week's quarter-final draw after a 3-2 aggregate success over Serie A giants Juve. Chelsea fell at the final hurdle last term after a penalty shoot-out loss to Manchester United, but goalkeeper Cech is hopeful the side can go one better this campaign. He told deniksport.cz: "The team spirit is there. We want to fight for one another, which makes us hard to beat. "These two legs against Juventus showed we can (go as far as last season). "In my opinion, Juventus are a very strong team this year. Also, we cannot forget that they beat Real Madrid twice in the group stages. That makes our win over them even more valuable." Asked if there was a particular team he would like Chelsea to be drawn against in the last eight, Cech said: "In the quarter-finals of the Champions League there is no place for making choices. "We will simply have to play against the team which we are drawn against, there is nothing you can do about it. "If you want to win a competition, you cannot look at who you will play against. Now we can also be drawn against English teams, so we will see."
