Chelsea centre-back Ricardo Carvalho has dismissed suggestions that he could seek to leave the club following the exit of former Blues manager Jose Mourinho.
The 29-year-old Portugal international was one of Mourinho's first recruits when he took charge at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2004, but Carvalho says he is content to stay put for the time being.
He said: "At this moment I'm not thinking about leaving Chelsea, but how to improve as a player.
"The Chelsea players are prepared for everything and I'm convinced that we can have a successful season this year.
"I have not changed, I am always the same. Jose Mourinho's exit is in the past and now it's important to live in the present."
Carvalho has scored eight times in 130 appearances for Chelsea since his big-money move from FC Porto.
