Carvalho leaving Chelsea for Real

Chelsea's Portugal defender Ricardo Carvalho will join Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid after both teams announced a deal has been agreed.[LNB] The Blues confirmed they have agreed terms for the sale of the 32-year-old, while Madrid revealed Carvalho will join on a two-year deal.[LNB]A Chelsea statement read: "Chelsea Football Club can confirm it has agreed terms with Real Madrid for the transfer of Ricardo Carvalho.[LNB]"The transfer is subject to a medical and the player agreeing personal terms.[LNB]"Chelsea would like to thank Riccy for his six years of service, and we wish him well in his future career."[LNB]Carvalho joins up with former boss Mourinho, with whom he worked so successfully at both Porto and Chelsea.[LNB]The centre-back heads to the Spanish capital - reportedly for a fee of around 8million euros (£6.6million) - on the back of a hugely impressive World Cup showing in which Portugal conceded just one goal.[LNB]A Madrid statement read: "Real Madrid CF and FC Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ricardo Carvalho.[LNB]"The player will be linked to Real Madrid CF the next two seasons."
