Carlo relishes Inter showdown
14 Mar 2010 - 10:38:41
Carlo Ancelotti insists he is confident that his Chelsea side can come from behind to beat Internazionale and reach the last eight of the Champions League, having seen his side thrash West Ham United 4-1 at Stamford Bridge.
The Premier League leaders trail 2-1 from last month's first leg in Milan, but Ancelotti has little doubt that his team will put one over former Blues boss Jose Mourinho.
Didier Drogba scored a brace against the Hammers, while Alex and the outstanding Florent Malouda were also on the scoresheet as Chelsea warmed up for Tuesday's clash in some style.
Former AC Milan coach Ancelotti said: "I don't think we sent a message. The game is in the balance.
"We want to win but so do Inter. We have to do our best to win and in this moment we are in good condition to do our best.
"We can play with a good goalkeeper on Tuesday. Ross (Turnbull) was not involved a lot of times in the game, but he did make a good save in the last minute of the match.
"He played with confidence and had a good game. There was no worry. This is important.
"He deserved to play this game because he has trained very well in the last month to improve his quality. We have confidence in him. I think he will play on Tuesday.
"We had a good reaction against Stoke (in the FA Cup last weekend) and we improved again today.
"We had a bad day against Manchester City but we came back in the right way. It was a very good performance."
