Carlo Ancelotti sets his sights on Champions League for Chelsea

In a pre-recorded interview in English, released on Monday after his appointment was confirmed, Ancelotti outlined how he feels he can deal with the "pressure" of Chelsea, having been in charge of Milan for eight years.[LNB]"Both Chelsea and Milan are great teams in Europe. They want to win all the competitions," Ancelotti said. "So I think there will be the same pressure. For me, the Champions League is a beautiful sensation because when I played, I won it twice. It was the same when I was a coach in 2003 and 2007. [LNB]Kaka was on the target list then and is so now with Milan admitting they may struggle to hold on to the Brazilian although he is thought to favour a move to Real Madrid.[LNB]Undoubtedly Abramovich will work to deliver at least one, and possibly more, marquee signings for Ancelotti, who admitted yesterday that he had been shown around Chelsea's training facilities in Cobham, Surrey, some time ago. He signed a precontract agreement with Chelsea, which he has now honoured and will be paid £6 million a year, plus bonuses on a three-year contract.[LNB]"It's not easy for me to speak in English about my coaching philosophies," Ancelotti said. "I like to be close to the players, I like to speak to them, I believe in teamwork, it's the most important thing. I like to work together to build a dream. The players and the company [the club] to have a strong organisation, a strong discipline, to do it in the right way.[LNB]"In Chelsea it is easy to find the objectives. Win the Champions League, the Premier League, the FA Cup, the Carling Cup. To win them all is not easy but to we can work in the right way."[LNB]Ancelotti will work with Ray Wilkins and Paul Clement as his assistants and will bring in one more Italian. [LNB]However two of his closest assistants, Mauro Tassotti and Filippo Galli, will stay at Milan to work with his successor, Leonardo. [LNB]
