Calciopoli hearing postponed

The latest hearing in the Calciopoli match-fixing scandal has been postponed due to the travel chaos caused by a volcanic eruption in Iceland.[LNB] Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti and others were due to give evidence in Naples on Tuesday, but a short hearing announced the trial has been adjourned until April 27.[LNB]Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has also been summoned to give evidence.[LNB]Both Ancelotti and Mancini, who were in charge of AC Milan and Inter Milan respectively during the 2006 scandal, have been called as witnesses. Neither are accused of any wrongdoing.[LNB]Juventus official Luciano Moggi has been accused of being the mastermind at the centre the scandal by influencing the appointments of referees, with telephone conversations recorded as a result of a criminal investigation by the Naples prosecutors office.[LNB]The Turin club were stripped of the title and relegated to Serie B when the revelations surfaced, while AC Milan, Fiorentina, Lazio and Reggina were also punished by the Lega Calcio.[LNB]
