Bridge has said his presence within the England side was "untenable and potentially divisive" and he no longer wished to be selected by Fabio Capello. The move comes after it revealed earlier this month about a relationship between Bridge's former partner Vanessa Perroncel and Terry, who was stripped of the England captaincy by Capello in the wake of the headlines. On Saturday, the former Chelsea colleagues will come up against each other for thefirst time since the story broke, as City travel to Stamford Bridge in the Barclays Premier League. The two defenders are certain to be the centre of attention, but Bridge's focus is on getting a result, according to Given.
