Bosingwa to miss Pompey clash

Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa looks set to miss the opening Premier League game of the season against Portsmouth in less than three weeks' time after picking up a thigh injury on the club's pre-season tour of Asia and Russia.
The 25-year-old Portugal international sustained the problem in the first half of the friendly clash with Guangzhou Pharmaceutical and a scan has revealed the extent of the injury.
Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari said: "He is out for two weeks minimum for treatment and he won't be able to play for three weeks.
"At the moment, he is out of the first game against Portsmouth.
"But I have players who can cover. I played with Paulo (Ferreira) here, (Michael) Essien also played there for 30 minutes, and they both played very well so it is not a problem for us."
Bosingwa moved to Stamford Bridge from FC Porto in May for £16.3million after penning a three-year contract with the Blues.
