Bolton boss Owen Coyle tips Daniel Sturridge for starring role

Bolton boss Owen Coyle expects Daniel Sturridge to make a similar impact to former loanee Jack Wilshere after the striker returned to the north-west from Chelsea yesterday.[LNB]Sturridge, 21, has had limited opportunities since moving down to London from Manchester City 18 months ago and, with Fernando Torres providing more top-class competition at Stamford Bridge, the deal was one that suited both parties.[LNB]Wanderers can boast high-profile success in providing a platform for one of England's most talented youngsters, with Wilshere now a regular in the Arsenal team after excelling in his loan spell at the Reebok Stadium 12 months ago.[LNB] Loan star: Coyle has faith in January capture Sturridge[LNB]Coyle said: "I'm absolutely delighted to bring Daniel to the footballclub until the end of the season. When we were made aware that therewas a chance he'd be allowed out on loan then we certainly tried to doeverything we could to convince him that this would be the best placefor him.[LNB]"I think he's such an exciting young talent who I believe will have avery positive impact, probably similar to the impact Jack Wilshere hadlast year, because I believe this is a player who is capable of playingin the Chelsea team, as Jack Wilshere was capable of playing in theArsenal team.[LNB]"Sometimes at elite clubs there's a tendency to maybe not quite beconvinced because of their youth and everything else, so it givesDaniel the platform to go and show everybody what he has in his locker.[LNB]"He has attributes in abundance and I'm very excited to see him in a Bolton shirt."[LNB]Sturridge revealed it did not take long to persuade him Bolton was theright move, saying: "I'm really happy to come to the club.[LNB]"The manager wanted me to come here to play first-team football, and assoon as he said those words I was straight down the motorway.
