Boli's conscience is clear

Roger Boli insists he did nothing wrong during negotiations regarding Gael Kakuta's move to Chelsea. The Ivorian agent was Kakuta's representative when the French starlet made a move to Stamford Bridge from Lens in 2007. The switch has now become the subject of much controversy, with Chelsea reprimanded for breaching transfer regulations. They have been banned from signing any new players until January 2011, while Kakuta has been suspended from playing for four months. The Blues are set to appeal the sanction, but the issue has led to numerous other reports of top clubs acting inappropriately in their acquisition of young talent. Incentives Kakuta's case remains the dominant story for now, though, with full details of the deal yet to be released. It has been suggested that the youngster's parents were offered substantial financial benefits for agreeing to move their son to England. Boli has denied that he was involved in any such transactions, though, and has moved to distance himself from the subject. "I have a clear conscience," he said in France Football. "Some people should have a lot more to say than me. Lens and Chelsea have things to tell each other."
