Valencia have dismissed reports suggesting that Chelsea are lining up a big-money January move for Spain striker David Villa.
The 24-year-old has netted 32 goals in 54 league appearances for Los Che since his arrival from Real Zaragoza in the summer of 2005, sparking talk of an approach from the Blues.
However, Valencia president Juan Soler told PA Sport: "Officially we have not received any interest or an offer from Chelsea for Villa.
"I met sporting director Amedeo Carboni this morning and he didn't mention anything regarding any possible interest from Chelsea for our striker.
"We have heard rumours but that is all it is. We have no intention of selling him.
"But should any club be interested, they could sit down and negotiate his buy-out clause, which is currently worth 150million euros (£100million).
"Villa is a crucial player for us now and in the future."
Villa is under contract at the Mestalla until the summer of 2013.
