Blues wait on Essien scan

Ghana international Michael Essien could be sidelined for several weeks after injuring a hamstring in Tuesday's Champions League clash with APOEL Nicosia.
Essien will have a scan on Wednesday to determine the extent of the problem but will definitely miss this weekend's Premier League encounter with Everton.
If he has torn the hamstring, Essien could be out for as long as six weeks and may be forced to miss at least part of next month's African Cup of Nations.
"Michael has a problem with his leg," said Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti after the 2-2 draw. "We will look at him over the next few days and check on him.
"We hope it's not a big problem but he will not be able to play on Saturday."
