Chelsea are set to complete the signing of France international winger Florent Malouda from Lyon in a deal worth around £12million.
The 27-year-old is poised for a Stamford Bridge medical, with the two clubs having agreed a fee and personal terms having been settled.
Lyon president, Jean-Michel Aulas, told the club's TV channel: "Chelsea are completely in agreement with the amount we're looking for.
"It's fantastic and great news for Florent. I've phoned him and he's going to be able to undergo a medical in London on Monday."
Malouda has been with Lyon for four seasons, having earlier played for Chateauroux and Guingamp. He has won nearly 30 caps for his country and was part of the squad which reached the World Cup final in 2006.
Blues chief executive, Peter Kenyon, had earlier stated: "We're happy with where we are. We've not gone for big signings and not got them, we have our list and have three out of the four on the list.
"There is money and we're going to spend money on Malouda. If there are players we feel are right there is money available to spend on those.
"This is very much Jose Mourinho's wish in terms of what he wanted."
