Blues linked with Buffon

Chelsea could be poised to bolster their goalkeeping ranks with Italy's World Cup winning number one Gianluigi Buffon, according to the player's agent.
Rumours have persisted that Blues boss Jose Mourinho is on the look out for a new keeper as cover for the injured Petr Cech, who faces a long spell on the sidelines after fracturing his skull against Reading on Saturday.
"We are aware Roman Abramovich (Chelsea owner) can offer fortunes," Buffon's agent Paolo Fabbri told The Sun.
"What he needs is to convince the player it's the right move for him. This is not a financial issue, it's about a chance in life.
"I don't think he wants to leave Italy but things can change quickly in football."
Buffon has four years remaining on his current contract, but has been linked with a move after Juventus were relegated to Serie B at the end of last season following a match-fixing scandal.
