Chelsea will resume hostilities with Barcelona after being drawn against the holders in the group stage of the Champions League.
Jose Mourinho's men have taken on Barca in bad-tempered ties at the last-16 stage in the past two seasons, with Chelsea winning in 2004-05 and the Catalans gaining revenge last term.
Werder Bremen and Levski Sofia complete a tough looking Group A.
Manchester United face a Battle of Britain after being drawn alongside SPL champions Celtic in Group E.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side will also face Benfica and FC Copenhagen as they attempt to avoid a repeat of last term's embarrassing exit at the group stage.
Last season's beaten finalists Arsenal will be pleased with the line-up in Group G, where they will face Porto, CSKA Moscow and Hamburg.
Liverpool, champions in 2005, also look to have a straightforward task to qualify after being drawn against PSV Eindhoven, Bordeaux and Galatasaray in Group C.
