Central defender Tal Ben Haim has admitted that the chance to join Chelsea was too good an opportunity to pass up, following his exit from Bolton Wanderers.
The 25-year-old Israel international was also wanted by Newcastle United, but opted to move to Stamford Bridge on a free transfer, penning a four-year contract with the Blues.
Ben Haim commented: "I feel fantastic to be part of that amazing club.
"If you ask every player, they want to play for Chelsea, for that team. It's one of the best teams in the world so I'm very happy to be part of that."
"I don't like to talk too much about myself, but I can guarantee that I give 100 per cent and hopefully I don't disappoint anybody, especially myself.
"I'm sure that everything will be okay and I can't wait to start."
The stopper is the third new recruit to Jose Mourinho's squad already this summer, with Reading midfielder Steve Sidwell and Bayern Munich striker Claudio Pizzaro having already agreed moves to Stamford Bridge.
