Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti will not take any risks with defender Ashley Cole's fitness ahead of the UEFA Champions League match against APOEL Nicosia. Cole was carried out of Saturday's defeat at Wigan with a knee injury and it has not been decided if the England full-back will feature in midweek. Ancelotti has included the 28-year-old in his squad for the away game with Apoel and is offering the former Arsenal player every opportunity to prove his fitness. But the Blues boss insists there will be no chances taken with Cole, and Russia international Yuri Zhirkov is on stand-by. Bounce backAncelotti said: "We have to control him (Ashley) in training today. He is better, but we want to control his training. "If he stays well, he'll start. If there is a risk, I will use someone else. If Ashley cannot play, we'll play Yuri Zhirkov." Despite the Wigan setback, Ancelotti still believes his squad possess the mental attitude to bounce back. "I haven't worked with these players for an awful lot of time, but I like their mental attitude," added the Italian. "I don't think they've lost that. It's very important to have that focus."
