Chelsea and Atletico Madrid could reach a compromise agreement that would see Sergio Aguero sign the for the Blues in January but stay in Spain for the rest of the season.

The Barclays Premier League leaders are weighing up whether to smash the British transfer record with a £50million move for the Argentina striker.

Atletico resisted all offers last summer and are reluctant to lose him in mid-season, but financial difficulties and their falling status have left them with no option but to listen to offers.
