Four-goal Chelsea triumph Hema Kanani gives her view on Chelsea's 4-1 victory over Cardiff City in the FA Cup It was a comfortable win for Chelsea against Cardiff City at home after a midweek defeat against Everton to now gain a place in the last eight of the FA Cup.  After a minutes applause in respect of former blues keeper Petar Borota, the game kicked off on a high with Didier Drogba scoring for Chelsea in the first two minutes.   Mikel played a fantastic ball over and Drogba was all alone in front of goal. The Cardiff defence was absolutely nowhere to be seen.   Drogba slotted the ball beyond David Marshall and into the net. What a nightmare start for Cardiff.   The Bluebirds didnt give up hope and carried on fighting and eventually a chance opened up in which Chopra got away from his marker and with a header from about four yards out scored. Poor defending by Chelsea meant it was level! It looked like Cardiff was going to be a threat to Chelsea, something which they did not anticpate.  The whistle blew for half-time and Chelsea knew they had to up their tempo in the second half if they were to sail through to the next round.  They were at a disadvantage as two of their star players were missing, John Terry and Ashley Cole.   The second half started on an equal footing giving Cardiff some hope. However they were silenced again when Chelsea's hitman Drogba, passed the ball to midfielder Michael Ballack. His left-footer put Chelsea back in the lead.  It was no surprise as Chelsea clearly dominated the second half.  But Chelsea took nothing for granted after being in a similar situation in the first half.Chelsea did not allow the visitors that luxury and the home side increased their lead through efforts from Daniel Sturridge and substitute Salomon Kalou.. Chelsea will know their next opponents when the 6th Round draw takes place tomorrow at 5pm.
