Bilic laughs off Chelsea link

Slaven Bilic has dismissed rumours he has held talks about replacing Guus Hiddink at Chelsea. The Dutchman's contract with the Blues expires in the summer and, with Hiddink adamant he will return to his primary job as Russia coach, Chelsea are actively seeking a replacement. Rumours suggested Bilic had met with Chelsea's director of scouting and youth development Frank Arnesen, but the Croatia coach has laughed off the reports. "I know and understand the way journalists work," Bilic told Sportske Novosti. "I was in a hotel and saw Frank Arnesen, who was once a great player and now works at Chelsea. "Does it mean I'm in negotiations every time I meet someone in Europe?" Bilic then proceeded to give reporters his short-term schedule in order to put an end to any possible stories. "Next I'll be going to Chelsea v Barcelona, Arsenal v Manchester United and then Hamburg to watch HSV v Werder (Bremen). "Plus Berlin to watch Hertha v Bochum and finally Borussia (Dortmund) v Schalke. "You don't have to call me to check whether the stories are true every time I go to one of these destinations."
