Bayern target Bosingwa deal

Bayern Munich have confirmed their interest in signing Chelsea full-back Jose Bosingwa. The Portugal right-back has only been at Stamford Bridge for one season following a £16million move from FC Porto last summer. Bosingwa made 48 appearances in all competitions and was a key member of the squad under both Luiz Felipe Scolari and Guus Hiddink. But Bayern believe they can persuade Chelsea to part company with their first-choice right-back. "Our transfer activities are basically closed," said general manager Uli Hoeness. "We are only looking at whether there are possibilities for the right-back position. "We are interested in Bosingwa. That's correct."
