Reports suggest Champions League winners Barcelona are on the verge of completing the signing of
Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnsen.
The 27-year-old is close to sealing a switch to the Camp Nou after spending the last six years with Chelsea.
He is poised to sign a three-year deal with Frank Rijkaard's side for a transfer fee believed to be in the region of £8million.
Barcelona are keen to use Gudjohnsen as a replacement for Henrik Larsson who has returned to Sweden after signing for Helsingborg.
Gudjohnsen moved to Stamford Bridge for £5million from Bolton Wanderers and has scored 54 goals in 186 Premiership appearances for the Blues.
However, he was often used as a substitute by boss Jose Mourinho in the season just ended and scored only two Premiership goals.
