Ballack to pen new one-year contract extension at Chelsea
Michael Ballack will accept Chelsea's offer of one more season at Stamford Bridge and sign a contract extension in the next fortnight.
The 32-year old Germany midfielder, whose current agreement expires this summer, was hoping to land a two-year deal but will put pen to paper on a 12-month extension on terms of £120,000 a week that will place him just behind Frank Lampard and John Terry in the Chelsea pay league.
